The Process
Step 1
Initial Meeting and Consultation
Shaye Interiors begins with an introduction between Cassidy, Interior Designer and the client to get to know one another. At this time, Cassidy will complete a site walkthrough of the project space(s). Photos, videos and/or measurements may be taken and preliminary details pertaining to the project will be discussed. Residential design is an extremely personal experience and we want to make sure your voice is heard, questions are answered and you feel confident and comfortable with Cassidy.
We will communicate the specifics regarding our Interior Design Advisor project costs and contract.
Step 2
Planning
Shaye Interiors will begin planning the design for your project once the client has approved the estimate and both parties have signed the contract. Cassidy may prepare drawings and will source all the materials for your project from paint, electrical, plumbing, tile and stone, cabinetry, glass and finishes such as drawer pulls, door levers and light fixtures. Cassidy will then gather sample materials for the client to see and feel. This includes and is not limited to paint colour swatches, tile and stone samples, cabinetry faces, millwork drawings, specifications and mouldings.
Step 3
Design Meeting
The fun part! We will then meet with the client where Interior Designer Cassidy will provide samples, drawings and project details for the client to view.
This meeting is so important as it allows the client to envision what will be in their home. For some projects, there may be more than one design meeting to allow for refining of details provided on initial feedback from the client.
Step 4
Design Finalized
At this time, our Interior Designer and the client will review all samples and materials for a final time. Cassidy may provide the client with their specifications portfolio that includes every detail of the design, materials, finishes and products for the project. The client owns the design and can opt to use Shaye Interiors preferred contractors, or their own. The project materials will provide the tradespeople with all the information needed for purchasing and starting the construction of the project.
Step 5
Construction
We want to ensure that the construction process is straightforward and as seamless as possible for our clients. Cassidy works collaboratively with contractors and communicates design aspects and performs as many walkthroughs as deemed necessary to make sure every detail is executed as designed and within a timely manner.
Optional
Furniture and Decor
We offer furniture and décor services which are optional to the client after the project has wrapped construction. Working with the clients budget, needs and existing furniture, our Interior Designer will curate furniture and décor that only enhances the space, truly reflecting the client.
